What could be more comforting and romantic than a warm fire crackling in the fireplace on a chilly evening ?
Answer : A warm fire crackling in the fireplace on a chilly evening with this heart shaped fireplace poker beside it !...

Forged in fire, I start with a piece of 1/2" solid round rod, split one end and formed a heart shape.

I then hammer the near section of the heart flat, hot punched my logo signature "in" the metal and twist the remaining section of the flat.

Next I add a hammered rivet to limit the handle section.

The poker end is formed with smooth curves so you can push the logs with one point or pull with the other.

I put a lot of importance in cleaning my items after they have been hammered, bent into shape, and "in and out" of the fire numerous times...I acheive the clean look you see in the photos by using the wire wheel and sandpaper, this leaves each item with a clean attractive look that is perfect for gift giving...

After cleaning, I clear coated the poker & hook for protection and to keep the raw iron look.

Kit for this listing includes :
- Heart shaped fireplace poker (The one shown in the above photos is one i made previously and yours will be based on this one)
- One specially designed hook.
- 2 decorative wood screws that match the ironwork (for wall mounting of the hook).

Total length is approximately 34 to 36 inches.

Very strong, this item will last a few lifetimes.
